Coolin Civic Organization (CCO) provides resources for the maintenance of the historic school building & community park/playground in Coolin, ID. The building is available year-round for community service, social & recreation events for a nominal fee. It also serves as the Priest Lake’s disaster relief support center should the need arise. Our main fund-raiser is the annual Priest Lake Spring Festival in Coolin over Memorial Day Weekend.
Priest Lake Spring Festival Priest Lake Friends – The 47th Priest Lake Spring Festival will kick-off the 2025 summer season May 24th and 25th. The parade will start at Noon on May 24th. Come join the fun! Thanks to your support and participation, last year’s Priest Lake Spring Festival once again far exceeded expectations. Attendance continues to go up, noon-time Saturday brought parade floats, autos, contraptions, and good humor out for all to enjoy, and runners turned out in the hundreds for competition and fun at “Priest Lake Race” run events Sunday morning. Local artisans displayed their Arts & Crafts over both days of the festival, all available for purchase. This year we look forward to repeating all these events, including the beautiful home sewn quilts on display inside the Coolin Community Hall, along with our Saturday flame-grilled brat/ hot dog sale right outside and we want to welcome back the return of the delicious Priest Lake Sportsman Association Pancake Breakfast! You will find them on the lawn at the Arts & Craft Fair.
Proceeds from the Priest Lake Spring Festival support the Coolin Civic Organization and its maintenance of the Coolin Park on Missouri Street and the Coolin Community Hall at the intersection of Dickensheet Road and Cavanaugh Bay Road. This facility is available as a meeting/gathering place for Priest Lake area organizations and individuals at no fee for non-profits, and a nominal fee for birthday parties or other events. Besides being an official Bonner County polling place, and an Eastside drop off location for Priest Lake Library book returns, the Coolin Community Hall sees regular use for birthday parties, reunions, swing dancing, yoga, Kenpo Karate, Lions Club meetings, Sewer Board meetings, fellowship groups, a bridge club, and monthly community potlucks every third Friday. The Coolin Civic Organization also hosts their annual old fashioned ice cream social on the 4th of July. Everyone is invited. Taking time to meet neighbors, the Coolin Civic Organization thanks you for your support. Have another safe and enjoyable summer at the Lake!
