ATV/UTV At Priest Lake

Riding ATV's is a fast growing sport in the Priest Lake area, with many trails to take you just about anywhere you want to go. No big city traffic to worry about; just a little dirt, mud or even snow. You can pick up a map at one of the resorts, local businesses or the Priest Lake Ranger Station.

Perhaps there is a beach you would like to ride to and go for a swim, or find that perfect fishing spot. ATV's can get you into some areas a vehicle just can't, and with some luck you'll find a great huckleberry patch. Keep in mind that wildlife has a mind of its own. It wouldn't hurt to carry bear spray; they seem to find these spots as well.

Load up your ATV, side by side or UTV and venture out for a day of exploration. You will be amazed by what you find. It could be a waterfall you didn't know existed or even another lake! Yes, they are out there and closer than you think.

If you want a day long trip, pack a lunch and head north of Nordman on Hwy 57/302 to Granite Pass and then on to the Mollies Warming Hut. What is the Difference Between an ATV and UTV?

An ATV is a 4wheeler-no roll cage rider sits and steers like you would a dirt bike. UTV or side by side- driver sits inside a roll cage and drives like a car, usually a single passenger riding next to you or there are 4 seat units with seat belts as well. There are specific size and weight rules that apply to these units when tracs replace wheels.
